Use an Alien Creator Socket on eligible equipment. The NPC displays 60%, 25% and 10% success for sockets 1–3. Each failed attempt consumes a socket item; retries cost another one.
EQUIPMENT SOCKETS · CUSTOM STATS
Nebulites
Nebulites are item upgrades installed into open sockets on equipment. Blackv4 has both the WZ-based item-use path and a custom service at Bo that checks a database catalog, equipment type and Reborn requirements.
Item #3061280
The equipment flow
Socket state is stored on the equipment: -1 means locked, 0 means open and empty, and a positive item ID means a Nebulite occupies the slot. Bo handles socket creation, installation, removal and the custom fusion menu.
Choose an empty socket and a Nebulite from SETUP inventory. The custom service checks that its registered equipment type matches the target, then consumes the Nebulite on success.
Bo's NPC includes a Nebulite Diffuser option for removing the Nebulite from a selected socket.
Bo's custom fusion asks for two copies of the same Nebulite, a Premium Fusion Ticket and grade-specific crystals. The output ID follows the server's upgrade mapping.
Socket and installation requirements
| Socket | Normal equipment | Cash equipment | Open success |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | 150 Reborns | 600 Reborns | 60% |
| 2 | 300 Reborns | 750 Reborns | 25% |
| 3 | 450 Reborns | 900 Reborns | 10% |
The requirement is checked when installing: normal equipment needs 150/300/450 Reborns by socket; cash equipment needs 600/750/900. GMs bypass this check. The NPC's opening attempt consumes an Alien Creator Socket on success or failure.
Compatible targets are matched against the catalog's equip_type, including Hat, Face, Eye, Earrings, Top, Overall, Bottom, Shoes, Gloves, Shield, Cape, Ring, Pendant, Belt, Medal, Shoulder, Pocket, Monster Book Card, Badge, Emblem, Totem and Weapon.
Grades and fusion at Bo
- D: item IDs 3060000–3060999.
- C: item IDs 3061000–3061999.
- B: item IDs 3062000–3062999.
- A: item IDs 3063000–3063999.
- S: item IDs 3064000–3064999.
Bo's custom recipe fuses two identical Nebulites plus one #4420000 Premium Fusion Ticket and 100 crystals: C uses #4260002 to produce the registered B upgrade; B uses #4260005 to produce A; A uses #4260008 to produce S. The database's upgrade field determines the exact output. The NPC recipe does not list a D-to-C recipe.
What the bonuses do
The classic WZ option path reads each Nebulite's socket options and applies supported equipment stats, such as primary stats, attack/magic attack, HP/MP, defenses, accuracy/evasion, speed/jump, percentage modifiers, critical/boss/damage options and some skill-grant options. Option type also limits which equipment categories can accept that Nebulite.
The custom Blackv4 catalog is loaded from the nebs database table at server startup. Each row provides the item ID, stat key, amount, compatible equipment type, grade and upgrade ID. The source consumes keys including IDP, BD, IED, OP, AS, Final Damage, Crit Damage Cap increase, D-Cap Reduction, SPOT Mastery Cap and Esterisk cap increase. Exact item values depend on the live table; they are not hard-coded in the website.
| Custom key | Observed effect in Blackv4 |
|---|---|
IDP | Adds to Drop Power (item power). |
BD | Adds to Boss Damage. |
IED | Adds to the character's Ignore Defense total. |
AS | Adds to the All Stats percentage. |
OP | Adds to OverPower. |
Final Damage | Feeds the damage multiplier; totals below 100 are floored to 1x, otherwise the total is used as a multiplier divided by 100. |
Crit Damage Cap increase | Scales critical-hit damage before the monster damage cap is applied. |
D-Cap Reduction | Despite its name, increases the monster damage cap by a factor of 1 + amount / 100. |
SPOT Mastery Cap | Raises the configured damage-potion cap. |
Esterisk cap increase | Can raise the character's ETC bonus cap. |
BPOT / Crafting Time Discount | BPOT contributes to randomized monster bonus stats; crafting discount shortens crafting time and is capped at 30 by the handler. |
These are example item IDs from the server's custom preset list. The live names, amounts and upgrade links come from the database catalog and may be changed by server configuration.
Getting and rerolling Nebulites
- Nebulite Box #2430692: the standard item-use path rolls WZ grades D/C/B at approximately 70%/28.8%/1.2%. It does not roll A or S in this path.
- Nebulite Gachapon Ticket #5220094: NPC #9201187 checks free space across inventories, consumes a ticket after success and awards one #2430748 fusion fragment. See the source note below for why its advertised grade branches are not reliable.
- Alien Cube #5750000: replaces a Nebulite with another database entry of the same named C/B/A/S grade and grants one #2430691 diffuser fragment. D-grade items do not pass the reroll's name check.
- Crafting materials: ten #2430691 fragments create one #5750001 Nebulite Diffuser; twenty #2430748 fragments create one #4420000 Premium Fusion Ticket.
Two different installation/fusion paths
- Bo's custom path: supports three selected sockets, checks the custom
nebstable and applies Reborn/equipment-type requirements. - Standard item-use path: reads option data from WZ and applies its compatibility rules. The packet handler currently installs through socket 1; Bo's menu is the path exposing all three socket positions.
- Fusion packet: is separate from Bo's recipe. It rejects S grade; it asks for 3,000 mesos for D, 5,000 for C, one Premium Fusion Ticket for B or two for A, then selects a WZ Nebulite around the average input grade.
Implementation notes and current limitations
- The Gachapon code calculates A/B/C/D/ticket branches, but its active reward selection requests a random grade-C entry whenever it awards a Nebulite. It also adds one #2430748 fragment per successful use. The source therefore does not currently support publishing the calculated grade odds as actual reward odds.
- The Alien Cube path reads the item's grade marker and asks the database catalog for that grade. Its WZ Nebulite Box path is separate and selects from WZ grade data.
- The custom bonus catalog is external database data, so this page intentionally does not invent per-item amounts or a complete current inventory.
loadStat()copiesIDP,BD,IED,OPandASfrom the equipped Nebulite map into cachedNeb*fields during login. Bo's installation call does not invoke that loader, so those cached totals may not refresh immediately after installation. Other keys such asFinal Damageare queried directly in the damage path. Although fields exist forNebXP,NebDR,NebMR,NebTDandNebCD, no assignments from the custom catalog were found during this review; do not assume those bonuses currently apply.- Custom Nebulite totals are stored in a map keyed by Nebulite ID, so identical IDs on multiple equipped items may be counted only once. The amount aggregation also returns an integer total even though the catalog amount is a float. These are server implementation details that should be reviewed before relying on duplicate or fractional custom bonuses.
