In-Game Features Guide
Equipment Power Notifications
See how a standard equipment change affects your calculated Damage and Boss Damage power. The notification reports the before-and-after difference; it does not change character stats.
When the notification appears
The notification is called by the normal inventory equip and unequip paths after the server recalculates local stats. Replacing an equipped item through that path is included. The current implementation does not call this comparison from every item-upgrade, cube or scripted stat-change path, so treat it as an equipment-move summary rather than a universal stat-change log.
- The handler measures the character immediately before the equipment move, performs the equip or unequip, recalculates stats and measures again.
- If both Damage and Boss Damage are unchanged, no widget is sent.
- The widget targets the Maple game client and lasts 10 seconds; it is not a separate web notification.
What the displayed power measures
The handler starts from DamageParse base damage and applies the character's current Damage or Boss Damage rate plus Overpower. When passive Sharp Eyes rate is at least 100%, it multiplies both values by 1 + the passive critical percentage / 100.
- Damage power = base damage x (Damage rate / 100 + Overpower).
- Boss Damage power = base damage x (Boss Damage rate / 100 + Overpower).
- If the Sharp Eyes condition is met, multiply both results by 1 + critical percentage / 100.
- This is a comparison helper for the two calculated values, not a complete measure of every combat mechanic or a change to the underlying stats.
Read the gain or loss
The popup shows the new Damage and Boss Damage values, each followed by its signed change from before the move. Its title is Power Increased or Power Decreased based on the combined direction of the two changes; inspect both lines when one improves while the other falls.
- Power Increased uses the up-arrow icon; Power Decreased uses the down-arrow icon.
- Values are formatted in compact units and the change includes a plus or minus sign.
- No notification is sent when both differences are zero.
