In-Game Features Guide
Maple PAL System
Get eggs from Professor Oak, hatch them through the PAL interface, then build an active team for character bonuses and Pal battles.
Get an egg and start hatching
The community guide points players to Free Market Room 1 and Professor Oak’s “Give me an egg” option. Open “Hatch my babies” in the PAL interface, then right-click an egg to begin incubation. The server stores eggs as negative template IDs until they hatch; template data supplies the Pal name, element, evolution and hatch time.
- The guide lists Pal Ball eggs for common Pals; Great and Ultra for common through rare or epic Pals; Master for rare through legendary Pals; and Mega Pals as crafted or available through Kofu’s Raid Book in the Pal Doll shop. Confirm the item and current source in game.
- A hatch begins only if a hatch slot is free and Pal storage has room. The duration is template time × evolution × 1,000 milliseconds.
- Canceling incubation returns the egg to storage and clears its hatch timer. Completing incubation moves the Pal back to storage.
Storage and active team
Professor Oak’s Pal Storage interface moves hatched Pals between storage and the active team. A maximum of six Pals can be active. Only those active Pals feed into character stats; moving a Pal back to storage removes its contribution after the character stats are recalculated.
- Select an active Pal for leveling from the storage interface.
- The server saves each Pal against the character and persists its active or storage position.
- Eggs and hatching eggs are not active companions and do not contribute stats.
IVs, stats, equipment and abilities
Every Pal tracks HP, STR, DEX, INT, LUK, ATK, MATK, DEF and MDEF, with a corresponding IV for each stat. IVs scale a Pal stat by 1 + IV/100. Equipped Pal items and abilities then apply their configured percentage bonuses; Pals have four equipment slots and up to four ability slots.
- The player receives no PAL HP bonus. For STR, DEX, INT, LUK, ATK, MATK, DEF and MDEF, each active Pal contributes min(Pal stat, Pal level × 20). Contributions are summed per stat and capped at 99,999.
- The community guide describes the transfer as 25% per Pal level. That statement does not match the current PlayerStats calculation, which uses the level × 20 cap; use the live character stats as the result.
- Pal leveling uses an EXP threshold based on level^(4 + level × 0.0025) + 100. A level-up adds random stats scaled by the Pal’s evolution; progression stops at level 999.
Trainer battles and Battle Mode
Trainer NPC scripts require at least one active Pal and apply a trainer cooldown. The normal cooldown is 3,600 + trainer level × 108 seconds. Battle Mode, or an average active-Pal level of 100 or higher, enters the super-battle path with a four-hour cooldown.
- Super-battle enemy count and IV increase at average active-Pal levels 100, 250, 500, 750 and 999.
- Use @battlemode to toggle the trainer battle mode described by the community guide.
- Battle NPCs can have separate limits, eligibility and rewards; read the individual NPC dialogue before starting.
Recycle rewards
Recycling permanently deletes the selected Pals. The server groups element energy by element, then grants Upgrade and Soul materials from the selected Pals’ values.
- Element energy item: #4200000 + element ID, amount = tier × 10 + rank for each Pal.
- Upgrade material #4201000: total of the recycled Pals’ tiers.
- Soul material #4201001: total of evolution × evolution for each recycled Pal.
- Review the selected Pals carefully: the removal is permanent, and the handler does not provide a restore path.
