Start and complete a Wanted Poster

Talk to Wanted Poster NPC 9201233 at Total Level 100 or higher. On the first assignment, the script chooses a base from 1 through your Total Level, selects a monster ETC item and saves the target. Collect the displayed amount and confirm the turn-in to claim the rewards.

• Required ETC amount = base x 500.
• Crusader Coins (#4310018) = base x 25; Golden Meso Bags (#4310500) = floor(base x 2.5). Both are credited to Overflow.
• ETC bonus = floor(1 + base / 100)% for a normal assignment. The quest also restores your stamina and can be repeated.
• The script does not award Donation Points directly. Use @stats to check your ETC bonus/cap; @etc opens Overflow storage.

Rooney's repeatable ETC collection quest

Talk to Rooney (NPC 1022101) at Total Level 200 or higher. The server snapshots your Total Level as the quest level, then selects five eligible ETC item types from the quest pool. Their requirements stay saved while the quest is active; use the NPC to review progress before turning in.

• Each of the five selected item types requires 10 x the saved quest level. For example, at Total Level 200 the requirement is 2,000 of each item, or 10,000 items total.
• A successful turn-in consumes the requested items, restores 100 Stamina and increases the ETC stat through the server's Master Buff scaling.
• The server grants #4310018 x floor(quest level x 2.5), five #2000012 and #4420015 x floor(Total Level / 100). The completion dialogue displays a /200 formula for #4420015 in one path, while the grant uses /100; check your inventory after turning in.
• #4420007 is an additional chance reward. At Total Level 200, the active roll is approximately 0.04%.
• A 30-minute cooldown starts after successful completion. If the saved quest level is 250 or higher, each completion advances Rooney achievement progress at thresholds of 1, 5, 10, 15, 25, 50, 75 and 100.
• The active quest script does not directly grant character EXP, mesos or Fame, despite an older help-NPC summary. It also has no active dialogue option to reroll the five targets, so plan to complete the assigned set.

Change the target or set a higher quest base

The community guide calls #4034705 the Shadow Secret Diary. Active reroll NPC 9201055 checks for that item, requires Total Level 250+ and an existing Wanted target, consumes one item, then chooses a new target ETC. Its script applies a 10-second reset lock.

• Changing the target does not itself change the saved quest base or target amount.
• NPC 9201083 separately lets a character with an active Wanted target set its base from 100,000 to 1,000,000. It costs 100 of item #4310504 and updates the target amount to base x 500.
• NPC 9201083 previews ETC as floor(1 + base / 250)%, but the active Wanted Poster turn-in calculates floor(1 + base / 100)% from the saved base. The scripts disagree on the displayed ETC reward; check the turn-in message and @stats.
• The script checks item #4034705 and displays its item name in the NPC dialogue; compare it with the Shadow Secret Diary named by the community guide.

Farm in a personal instance

Use @instance on a living solo character at Total Level 10+ while on a map with monster spawns and outside another instance. The menu offers 30 minutes free, or 1, 2, 4, 8 or 12 hours for 10 DP item #4310502 per hour. The personal map is marked local by the event script, and the Java drop calculation doubles its ETC item multiplier there.

• Check the map and your attack setup before paying; the instance timer runs for the selected duration.
• Higher instance tiers have their own Total Level and Reborn requirements and can add monster tiers. The selected tier is separate from the local-map ETC multiplier.
• The community guide recommends staying for the paid duration. Its one-hour, 10-DP price matches the active instance NPC.

Build ETC% and use Crusader Coins

NPC 9201082 offers a direct ETC increase while your current ETC stat is below 10,000. It consumes Unleashed Coins (#4310066); the cost for each +1% is (current ETC + 1)^2, so this becomes expensive as the stat rises. The Wanted Poster is the repeatable route that also earns Crusader Coins.

• The community guide recommends starting with a guild ETC bonus and using the Unleashed Coin route at low ETC. Check the live NPC text for the current price before confirming.
• The community guide lists 2,500 Crusader Coins for 1 Donation Point and about 5,000,000 ETC per Unleashed Coin at Agent M. Those exchange rates are not confirmed by the active Wanted or ETC-upgrade scripts reviewed here; verify the shop dialogue.
• The guide also recommends buying the Shadow Secret Diary from Special Shop and changing the target with Elpam Gorlab. The active script confirms the reroll item ID, but not those shop prices or the NPC name.

Understand and raise your ETC cap

The server tracks ETC bonus and ETC cap separately. @stats displays both. The active Java cap calculation starts with a 10,000% base, adds an account Morale contribution capped at 40,000% and an Etc_Mod contribution capped at 60,000%, then clamps the result to 100,000% plus any Esterisk cap increase. The community guide's fixed 10,000 + 50,000 + 50,000 = 110,000% summary does not match this formula.

• The active Morales Quest NPC grants account-wide Morale when you complete a registered Morales Quest. The displayed base reward is derived from the quest ID, bounded from 10 to 500, then increased by your NPC-quest completion bonus.
• At Duey, the active donation script offers Expand Etc% Cap with item #4037176. The menu says each item adds 25% cap, costs 5 DP and has a 60,000% purchase limit; check your current cap in @stats.
• The Item Drop Power/ETC stat itself has a separate server limit and Reborn contribution. Do not treat that stat limit as the personal ETC drop cap.
• The community guide describes Moral Support drops and NPC rerolls from Ristonia onward, but those steps are not established by the current Morales Quest script reviewed here.

What ETC% affects

The active MapleMap drop calculation uses the character's capped ETC modifier when calculating ETC item quantities. It also feeds special true-boss reward quantities; the personal instance applies a separate x2 multiplier to the ETC item calculation. Actual drops can still vary with monster tier and other server modifiers.

• This is not a guarantee that every boss item or every non-equipment reward is multiplied by the same amount.
• The Java getter caps your effective ETC modifier at the personal cap; extra ETC stat beyond that cap does not raise the effective drop modifier.
